• Where is the store based?

  Wooster, OH

• Is that pronounced like “Rooster”?

  No, it’s pronounced “Wuhs-ter” for some reason.

• Weird.

  We also have a street here named Beall, but it’s pronounced “Bell.” I don’t make the rules.

• So, what is “Yellowlight Comics”?

  Yellowlight Comics is comics by Tym Godek and the occasional pal.

• Who is “Tym Godek”?

  Tym is a cartoonist from Wooster, USA, making comics in a range of styles and formats. He’s published his diary and diary-adjacent (and sometimes non-diary) series “mostly banal” across various online platforms since 2010.

  He was awarded a prestigious Xeric grant - back when that was still a thing - for his first published work “!” (That’s what it’s called. Just an exclamation point) and his comics have been listed in Oliver Ristau’s “Best Comics of the Year” entries for The Comics Journal’s online contingent in 2022, 2023, and 2024. The fact that he was as surprised to see that as anyone else should not dissuade you from reading his comics.

• Any “free samples”?

  Aside from the thumbnails here, you can find Tym on tumblr (mostlybanal.tumblr.com) and instagram (instagram.com/mostlybanal/) and on Bluesky (@tymgodek) but not Twitter, Facebook, TikTok or the like. He was reminded by email the other day that he never shuttered his Livejournal account, but it’s been years since anything’s been posted there.

  His website disappeared a little while back.

• Do you accept orders placed outside of the US?

  Yes, but postage can get pricey. Please be aware of shipping costs before placing an order for outside the United States.

• How long will it take to receive my order?

  Orders are processed and ship within 3 days. Once shipped most domestic orders take anywhere from 2 to 10 business days to arrive depending on the efficiency of your local postal service. International shipping delivery times may vary between 2 and 12 weeks.

• Do I get something for reading this down to the bottom?

  Maybe a little bit more knowledge? I don’t know. You certainly don’t get the time you spent reading this back. Sorry.
